CashCrate

I keep reading again and again that the GPT (Get Paid To) scheme that earns people the most money is CashCrate. In the face of this, it would be silly not to jump on board so I just signed up.

I have just signed up with one offer to test the water, it pays 40 cents but doesn't seem to need anything from me like credit card details. There are other offers that pay $15 and $20 on offer to me which I will get to after I see how this one goes. You can earn from referring people and make 20% of what they earn at no cost to them, and 10% of the earnings of those who they refer also. You can move up to higher percentages after referring so many under you which provides an incentive to go and get em!

If you're in the UK the number of offers may be limited like most sites, I will have to look into it before I can comment.

Give it a whirl if you haven't already joined it and come back to tell me how it's going.

TreasureTrooper

I'm giving TreasureTrooper a spin, as I've read a fair amount of good stuff about it on other people's blogs. Some of the highest earnings I have found so far (and proof) can be seen on Nothing Fancy... and I've passed a few emails back and forth with the site owner who has been very helpful. The site is well put together and has some good information about GPT stuff which is all well worth a read. This is why I chose to put their link here, when people are nice and helpful nice things happen to them! Swing by and say I sent you, then pop back and post here with your thought.

Anyway, back to TreasureTrooper ... there seems to be lots you can do to earn money there. You can of course refer others, and I've had my first 1st level referral. One down, the rest of the internet to go! You can also take part in surveys which looks like it could be fun. There are also sort of competitions and games to take part in. I haven't yet tried the comps and have signed up with one survey company so far but since then I haven't been online much but I will be reporting back how things go. One thing, some of the offers aren't available if you're in the UK like me but that seems to be the same with all of these GPT sites. However, if you can get onto the forums they are putting together a list of their UK members which I presume is so they can secure some offers for us... good news for me and some of you guys too! There is a link on Nothing Fancy... to a TT forum thread with offers for the UK.

As always, let me know your thoughts on all of this. Comment, will ya!!

Linkreferral.com

I signed up to linkreferral.com a few days ago, mainly as a way of getting some traffic. Basically, you have to put either a text link (which I have) or a button link on your site which helps you as Google's spiders follow it. Also, you can view other members' sites (up to 30 a day) and review up to 5 a day of them. Also, you get ranking for making forum posts (1 a day gets you a little boost). You don't have to view 30 sites and review 5 and make 1 post as you will get bumped up your category in their directory a place or two for any of these activities. You can refer others also, however I have found that the best part of Linkreferral for me so far is that by doing these and getting higher in the directory you find that others write reviews of your site. Some of these are a few words as they are doing it for the reason above BUT ... some people actually take the time to give you an appraisal which is valuable feedback on what you are doing right or wrong. You can get that by asking your friends or family but they may well just say what you want to hear, when it may be awful and need lots of constructive criticism.

If you are here through Linkreferral and are going to write a review may I say a quick thanks!

The people who wrote me a thought out review I will be mentioning in a post and/or putting links to their sites when I get another 5 minutes. The ones with the couple of word reviews will not be receiving the same treatment!

Click thru me to give it a whirl, and let me know how you get on. I will reply to all people who contact me on this site.

MyLot

I signed up to MyLot a few weeks ago. It seems to be similar to mySpace etc with one major relevant difference... you get paid to participate. Yes, that's right, starting discussions and posting gets you a few cents. I've started a couple of discussions and earned a little for it. Okay, 7 cents so far!! In fairness I haven't been participating much exactly, but I will get around to it and report back on my earnings. Sign up here and start earning yourself, and let me know how you get on.

Agloco ... worth sticking with, or full of s**t ?

I signed up for Agloco recently because it sounded like a lot could be had from it. The offer of free shares had to be worth a spin, it's all for free eh? Well, maybe not after all. Surfing blogs I have come across a whole thread with some pretty disastrous sounding news for members. Basically, it looks like members will be getting next to no cash, delayed payments at best, and the shares will be next to worthless.

A good starting point for those interested is Kumiko's Cash Quest and that post is just one of many on the site. I've followed links from Kumiko's blog and it doesn't look good. I'll leave my affiliate links up where I have them, if only to see what happens first hand. It doesn't look like anyone will get hurt so until I hear otherwise I'll stay in.

Do have a good read of Kumiko's blog if you're interested in making money from blogging / webmastering because it's an excellent looking resource from someone who is apparently succeeding in doing this.

First Post

Well hello and welcome to Yet Another Money Making Blog Quest.

What's it all about? If the title didn't give the game away it's my attempt at making some money out of running a blog. There are loads of blogs that exist purely for this purpose so hence the "Yet Another" bit!

How do you make money from a blog then? Well, signing up for affiliate schemes and such and then getting click throughs and signups / sales is what it's all about.

I'll be posting progress reports periodically so that you can see which schemes perform and which don't, and of course sign up under my link to the good ones!

Please bookmark me or whatever you use, and check back regularly. Comments can be left by anyone but are moderated so if you're trying to sell Viagra save your time :P

That will do for the First Post. More later.
